Website Services
What is a website and how can you use it grow your business?
If you’re thinking, “Duh, Nina, I know what a website is,” just humor me for a minute. Because I probably have a different definition than you do.
A website is the biggest tool in your online marketing toolkit that should be designed to:
- Help your ideal customer know, like and trust you
- Generate leads that you can convert into sales
- Sell products for you while you sleep
Let’s dive into those a little more.
1) Help your ideal customer know, like and trust you
Marketing is a lot like dating with the end goal of having a lifelong partner. There’s a wooing process.
- You have to interact with each other several times before you make a commitment.
- You have to consistently show the value that you bring to the table.
- You have to become indispensable to them.
That’s when committing to you feels like a, “Hell yes!”
Unfortunately, many small business owners don’t understand that that’s what marketing is and instead approach it like the guy on Tindr who says hi to you, followed by an unsolicited pic of his junk and then tries to get right in your pants.
And he’s a resounding, “F*ck NO!”
Your website content is the first glimpse into your business. Use it to show people who you are, that you can help them, and that you’re trustworthy.
This is where the wooing begins.
2) Generate leads that you can convert into sales
Your website is more than just a pretty landing space – it is a hard working marketing tool.
While it exists to help you woo your ideal customer, it should also help you generate leads. So basically, you’re showing them how awesome you are AND asking for a phone number. Or, in this case, their email address.
That’s the first step in them saying, “You know what, I like this person. I want to hear more from them in the future.”
Your website should have a space to collect that information so you can use it later to further the relationship.
3) Sell products for you while you sleep
This is the most fun part. Your website can make you money while you sleep.
True story!
- You can use it to sell products that you have in your store.
- You can use it to sell services you offer.
- You can even make digital products and sell them there.
What if you’re in the food service industry? You can use your website to sell egift cards or let people order online.
Every business can benefit from a website.
